With its cosy atmosphere and open plan living area this is one of our
smaller houses. The extension - a typical feature of Irish farmhouses
provides additional accommodation. The main house has two stories. Downstairs
there is a kitchen, dining and sitting area, open fire, and terrace. Upstairs
are two double bedrooms and bathroom. The extension forms a single room
apartment with 2 single beds, kitchen/dining area, bathroom (shower &
WC), open fire, and terrace. The house has electric heating, washing machine,

2 bedroom. Sleeps 4. Right on the edge of Dumanus Bay, this cottage lies in a quiet location
where the visitor can get away from it all. The lawns with their old pines
and the flower gardens overlooking Dunmanus Bay invite lazing around,
while the adjacent beaches provide action for the swimmers, the surfers
and the sailors. Here a family of four can sit in the backyard watching
the fishing boats harvest lobster and mussels while the sun sets over
the bay. Approximately 6 miles away the little village of Durrus has a
very popular 4-star restaurant as well as several pubs which serve up
local fare. The village is well known for its singing pubs and road bowling
on Sundays. Bantry is ten miles East - regattas, scenic cruises, sailing
and fishing. Trout fishing in local streams and lakes, pony trekking &
riding lessons nearby. Glengarriff & Garnish Island, Bantry House,
Schull and Ballydehob are all local. The cottage itself has an open-plan
living/dining room with fireplace on the main floor. There is a modern
kitchen and master double bedroom. There is a bathroom with tub, separate
shower stall, WC and heated towel rack. The second floor loft overlooking
the living room is open and spacious. On this level there are two twin

private and secluded spot just three miles from the sea this comfortable
traditional-style stone cottage enjoys an elevated position with stunning
views over the rolling hills towards Mount Gabriel and the Mizen Peninsula.
With its large, south-facing natural garden and pond, beautiful pine
furniture and antique rugs, and its own sauna, it makes a very comfortable
holiday base. There are sandy beaches, sailing, and fishing nearby and
good touring around West Cork. Pub 3 miles. The house has a large living

The closest town is Durrus and Bantry is about a 15 minute drive. The
cottage is located on an estate that has sweeping views of Dunmanus Bay.
This cottage stands in its own grounds amidst pretty planted garden beds
with direct access to the sea. There is a picnic table in the garden for
outside dining. Inside: On the ground floor there is a master bedroom
with a queen sized bed. French doors lead out to a quiet patio. There
is an ensuite bathroom with a large shower, jacuzzi tub, WC and sink.
Adjoining the bathroom is another bedroom with twin beds. There is an
extra WC in the hallway. The living/dining/kitchen area is open plan and
quite spacious. The kitchen is separated by a counter area and it is complete
with all modern conveniences. There is plenty of room for more than 1
chef. The dining table seats at least 8. The living room has a large open
fireplace, 2 sofas and comfortable lounge chairs. It is a bright room
with many windows that overlook the lawn and gardens. A conservatory room
connects to the living room area and there is yet another large dining
table for dining with a view of the flower gardens. On the second floor
there is a large double bedded bed room, 2 single bed rooms and a bathroom
with a shower, WC and sink. The hallway is spacious and can be used as
a lounge area or game room. Extras: Washer and a dryer, microwave, TV,
video and stereo system, and gas heating throughout. Heat, electricity

All of our vacation rentals are fully furnished and
well equipped. Many are privately owned.
A local contact person is always
available for assistance with any problems. Our properties rent for
a minimum of one week.
Arrival is any day of the week for city flats
and apartments. Countryside properties usually rent from Saturday to
Saturday.
Normally, check-in time is between 2 PM and 4 PM and check-out
is 10 AM.
We confirm the exact price when a reservation is booked. Prices depend
on the current exchange rate of the dollar, number in the party and
dates of travel. Prices quoted include heat, electricity, towels, linen,
cleaning fees, taxes and our fees - unless otherwise stated. Charges
for telephone calls are extra. Most properties require a refundable
breakage/damage deposit.
